Clear signals, honest limits

Trust & Verification

Verification can help you understand which account information SweetHomePet has reviewed. It is one part of a thoughtful decision—not a substitute for your own checks.

Important

Verification confirms reviewed information submitted for a specific account or role. It does not guarantee a person’s conduct, a pet’s health or suitability, the accuracy of every listing detail, or a transaction outcome.

What each verification means

✓ Email verified

Email verification

Confirms that the account holder completed a link sent to the registered email inbox. It is required before creating listings, applying, expressing buyer interest, or using protected transaction messaging.

It does not confirm legal identity.
✓ Identity verified

Identity / account verification

Shows that Customer Support approved a separate review of identity or account information submitted by the user.

The visible badge is “Identity verified.”
✓ Verified for pet sales

Seller verification

Shows that Customer Support approved the account for pet-sale activity. It is required for new For Sale listings and is separate from email verification.

It does not certify a pet or guarantee a sale.
✓ Verified organization

Organization verification

Eligible shelters, rescues, breeders, dealers, or veterinary organizations can receive a role-specific badge after review.

The badge identifies the approved account role only.
Customer Support review

How a verification request moves forward

  1. 1

    Request

An eligible signed-in user chooses the relevant verification type and submits the requested context.

  2. 2

    Review

Customer Support checks the submitted information against the requirements for that verification.

  3. 3

    Decision

The request may be approved or rejected. Pending status is not the same as approval.

  4. 4

    Visible badge

An approved badge appears where relevant. SweetHomePet may revisit it if credible concerns or changed information arise.

Suspected misuse

A badge should never be copied, altered, or treated as a guarantee.

If a profile, listing, message, or claim appears to misuse verification, use the relevant “Report a concern” link. Include specific facts and preserve messages or documents. Reports are reviewed privately.
