Purpose and scope
This policy applies to all SweetHomePet accounts, listings, messages and activity. SweetHomePet is an online pet marketplace for Adoption, Rehoming and For Sale listings. Users must put animal welfare and lawful conduct first.
Account responsibilities and accurate information
Keep your account secure and take responsibility for activity through it. Provide accurate, current account and listing information. Describe the animal, ownership, health, breed, pedigree and vaccination history honestly, and correct errors promptly. Do not impersonate another person or conceal information that could affect safety or welfare.
Seller verification
Where seller verification is required, submit complete and accurate information and supporting details for platform review before higher-risk selling privileges are approved. SweetHomePet uses submitted information/document review and administrative approval; it does not claim automated verification against a government identity database. Verification does not guarantee a user or animal, and listings remain subject to moderation.
Animal welfare and lawful marketplace use
Comply with applicable animal welfare laws, breeder/seller licensing laws, sale/adoption laws, transport laws, import/export rules, veterinary/health documentation requirements and local regulations. Check the requirements that apply to the animal, your location and the destination before listing or agreeing to a transfer. Do not arrange a transfer that is unlawful, unsafe or harmful to the animal.
Prohibited listings and activity
- Illegal animal sales or transfers; stolen animals; unlawful sale or trade of endangered or protected species.
- Animal cruelty, abuse or unsafe treatment.
- Fraudulent or fictitious listings; misleading health, breed, pedigree, ownership or vaccination claims.
- Impersonation, scams, phishing, duplicate or spam listings, harassment or threats.
- Malware, malicious links, and prohibited or illegal goods or services.
- Money laundering or unlawful financial activity, and misuse of the platform for unrelated commercial activity.
Payments and platform limits
SweetHomePet does not process pet-purchase payments, provide escrow, or maintain user wallets. SweetHomePet processes only its own platform-service fees. Buyers/adopters and sellers/owners arrange pet-purchase payments directly. SweetHomePet does not receive, hold or disburse pet-purchase funds, provide stored balances or allow user-to-user money transfers. SweetHomePet is not a fulfilment centre and does not warehouse, package, ship, transport or take custody of pets.
Review and enforcement
SweetHomePet may review listings and accounts, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or terminate accounts for policy violations. These are platform moderation actions, not police or regulatory powers. Report suspected violations using the support contact below.
